Oliver Franklin
Oliver Franklin received an M.A. in Geography at UT-Austin and soon after started his career at the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg Texas. Subsequent positions include Executive Director of the Texas Historical Foundation, and Executive Curator for Public Programs at UT’s Harry Ransom Center. He is now the Museum Site Coordinator of the Elisabet Ney Museum, a property of the City of Austin. Alongside his museum work, he has been creating, curating, or writing about art and film for years. His Master’s Thesis was on wall murals in Austin. He is a Seventh-generation Texan with roots in Comal, Gillespie, Burnet, and Llano counties.
