In partnership, Big Medium and Desert Door are thrilled to welcome 2022 Resident Artists for a group show inspired by their residency in the West Texas Desert.
Artists Jieun Beth, Elizabeth Hudson, and Jesus Treviño will be exhibiting their works at Canopy during the East portion of the Austin Studio Tour. Catch these wonderful artworks by November 20th!

Big Medium in partnership with Texas sotol distillery, Desert Door, are excited to announce their 2022 Resident Artists!

The Desert Door Residency will provide a one-week residency each at the Desert Door Ranch in Dryden, TX, and an artist stipend of $1,000.
During their residency, artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the raw West Texas landscape and begin creating new work. This program will culminate in a group exhibition to be held during this year’s Austin Studio Tour in November.
About
This is an artist-in-residence program produced by Big Medium in partnership with Desert Door. The purpose of the residency is to promote, highlight and support the creation of new work by three emerging Austin-based artists.
Big Medium Curator and Director of Programming, Coka Treviño, will select the residency artists in partnership with the Desert Door team.
This annual opportunity is available to all Artists at any stage in their career within a 17-mile radius of Austin.
About Desert Door
Desert Door is a unique, premium spirit known as Texas Sotol. It’s made from the native sotol plant, which we wild-harvest in West Texas and handcraft just outside of Austin.
