Join us for our October Creative Standard with Jane Hervey of #bossbabesATX. You Are An Organism is a goal-mapping exercise, intended to help attendees identify their own values, mission, resources and needs. Participants will leave this session with the foundational aspects of a strategic plan for their personal and professional pursuits, as well as a framework for making values-based decisions moving forward.

Originally from the small town of Rio Hondo, Texas, Jane Hervey is an artist, creative producer and activist, living and working in Austin, Texas. She is the founding director of #bossbabesATX (a nonprofit amplifying women and nonbinary creatives, entrepreneurs and community leaders), and she actively designs communication strategies and experiences for other humans. As an artist, she pulls sonic influences from the likes of Björk, Solange and Frank Ocean and explores the South, politics, cellulite and being a bad woman within her lyrics. Since putting out her first four-track EP “Sour Grapefruit” in 2019, she has opened for OSHUN, Nomi Ruiz, Bunny Michael and more. Her work has been profiled in publications like Texas Monthly and Forbes, and in 2017 she was inducted into the City of Austin's Women's Hall of Fame.

The focus of Creative Standard is to convene artists regularly; provide information, opportunities, and resources; and to create and maintain standards of professionalism and integrity for the creative community to adhere and uphold.
