Big Medium is pleased to present The Contemporary Print in partnership with PrintAustin. The 6th annual juried international exhibition features selections by juror Dr. Anna Katherine from 35 artists and is held at the Big Medium Gallery during PrintAustin 2019.
The Contemporary Print is a survey of traditional printmaking techniques and innovative approaches in contemporary printmaking. While non‑traditional or digital output is accepted as a print element, all artworks in the exhibition utilize traditional print media as their primary technique; including lithography, relief, intaglio, silkscreen, photo polymer plate (i.e. SolarPlates), and monotype.
Featured artists include Martin Azevedo, Brandin Barón, Kristen Bartel, Brendan Baylor, Stephanie Berrie, Ruben Castillo, Josh Christensen, Virginia Contreras, Candice Corgan, Maritza Diaz, Barry Ebner, Stacy Elko, Olivia Fredricks, J.
