Describe your artistic style in three words.
Minimal, Color, Light

What's inspiring you right now?
This past year I have been increasingly drawn to everyday light occurrences due to our slower pace of life. These are things such as light flickering through the trees or unique shadows cast across the room. I began experimenting with light towards the beginning of the pandemic and these everyday moments have fueled that practice as well as inspired my painting.

What do you do when you're feeling uninspired?
Take a walk, journal, or listen to new music.

Tell us something unique about your process.
My recent light work relies heavily on nature due to my use of natural light. Allowing things like the cloud cover or the angle of the sun to lead my artistic practice can be peaceful and often takes the pressure off of me. This has slowly pushed me to be more flexible and more in touch with the world around me.

What advice do you have for other artists?
Recently I have been disconnecting from the internet for some brief periods of time. I have been making artwork more authentic to myself since I started taking social media breaks and minimizing outside influences. My advice would be to find out what is overly influencing you and step away from it for a little while.
